4 Minutes Late
A change of heart, four minutes too late, on a sheet more than a metre tall.
What
A 1914 colour lithograph one-sheet, 104 by 69 centimetres, carrying the subtitle 'A change of heart'.
Why
The one-reel moral drama was the industry's default product in 1914, and its posters were printed to the same generous physical standard as feature paper - a full lithographic sheet for fifteen minutes of film. The economics of that only made sense while the theatre front was the entire advertising campaign.
Notice
The subtitle set as a second line of display type, telling the passer-by the emotional outcome before they had bought anything.
“A minute too late, printed a metre tall.”
Format
The full-resolution, color-managed file — restored honestly, yours to print and keep.
