Dream Street
A stone lithograph for a Griffith picture, and the only copy anyone knows of.
What
An original 1921 United Artists one-sheet, printed as a stone lithograph, for the D. W. Griffith production.
Why
Dream Street is a curiosity of the transition years - Griffith attached an experimental sound sequence to it in 1921, six years before the industry followed. The Commons record states this is the only known copy of the poster, which makes the scan itself the artefact of record.
Notice
Stone lithography rather than the cheaper offset of later years: the ink sits in flat, dense fields with visible grain, not halftone dots.
“A unique survivor of a film history nearly forgot.”
Format
The full-resolution, color-managed file — restored honestly, yours to print and keep.
Sized to protect print quality — this scan supports sizes up to 24x36" cleanly.
