O'Malley of the Mounted, Lobby Card

A Mountie stands over a seated man.

What

A 1921 Paramount lobby card for O'Malley of the Mounted, an American silent Western directed by Lambert Hillyer.

Why

Hillyer wrote it with William S. Hart, and the record notes pinholes in the buff card stock from its time on a theatre wall.

Notice

"A PARAMOUNT PICTURE" sits in the top right corner, and a small boxed caption under the figures carries the Mountie's vow to resign from the service.

“Duty against love, 1921”
