The Brass Bullet - Episode Thirteen

Chapter thirteen of an eighteen-week serial, printed to be pasted up and painted over.

What

A 1918 episode poster for the Universal serial The Brass Bullet, issued for the thirteenth of its eighteen chapters.

Why

Serial advertising was the most disposable printing the industry produced - a fresh sheet every week, discarded the moment the next chapter opened. Survival rates are correspondingly poor, and the serial itself is lost.

Notice

The near-square proportion, unusual among surviving film paper and a reminder that serial formats were never as standardised as feature sheets.

“A week's suspense, printed to be thrown away.”

Format

The full-resolution, color-managed file — restored honestly, yours to print and keep.

Sized to protect print quality — this scan supports sizes up to 24x36" cleanly.
